Title: clusterbydistancerange
Post by YER on Aug 25th, 2006 at 12:49am
Dear Sergei,

thanks once again for the recent additions!

One of them, is (for me) a bit unlogical. Upon running clusterbydistance.bf a number of clusters result that are indicated by a cluster ID; yet some of the cluster IDs occur only once in the output.

Could you indicate how can one identify the other sequences belonging to a cluster?

Thanks, YER

Dear Yer,

A cluster of size 1 is possible in this analyses (imagine for example, a clock-like star tree - you will either get 1 cluster with N sequences, or N clusters with 1 sequence each) - this is what a single occurrence of a cluster ID indicates.

HTH,
Sergei
