Title: HyPhy with Windows and Linux Post by elyrajo on Sep 3rd, 2007 at 8:21am
Hi,
I would like to know why HyPhy gives different result depending on whether it is run on Windows or Linux. I have also noticed that for Linux, two different outcomes are given depending on how kappa was defined (transition/transversion or the inverse). There is no differences with Windows. Thanks, Elyrajo |

Dear Elyrajo,
The computational code base of HyPhy on Windows is identical to that on Linux, so my guess would be that some of the settings (in .hyphyinit file on Linux and Hyphy.ini on Windows) are different. Could you elaborate on what kind of differences you observed and what were the data (i.e. #, length and approximate %-divergence of sequences) that gave different results? Cheers, Sergei |
