Title: dN/dS of regulatory regions
Post by RyanAmes on Jul 1st, 2010 at 7:20am
Hi

I'm looking for a method to infer whether nucleotide positions in the 5' UTR of a set of genes are under positive selection.  Is there any way this can be done in HyPhy?

Kind regards

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

Olivier Fedrigo and colleagues have developed a test of selection on promoter regions (using nearby introns as neutral markers) in HyPhy.
The paper describing the approach can be found here Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login Login
If you e-mail Olivier, he will most likely be happy to share the batch files with you.
