Title: p-values
Post by diegoE on Jun 30th, 2012 at 8:14am
hello,

my question is about the p-values for detecting selected sites.

are the default p-values (< 0,1 for SLAC, FEL and IFEL) significant ?

thanks for your help

Dear Diego,

p-values are usually called significant when they are <0.05 or when they are <0.01. p-values between 0.05 and 0.1 are sometimes called marginally significant. But it is really up to you what significance threshold you want to use. See Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login Login for an explanation of p-values and significance levels.

Hope this helps,
Konrad Scheffler
