Popup windows in HYPHY
Nov 2nd, 2005 at 7:59am

I like many features of HYPHY GUI. The data panel for partition operation is excellent. But when I do a standard analysis, it seems there are too many popup windows, one after another, and it does not allow me to go back to the previous popup window if I selected the wrong option. It would be more convinent if all these popup windows are put in one dialog box and the dialog box contains buttons like previous and next so it can navigate all the options to be selected.

Dear Luobin,

This is a good suggestion, indeed.

Multiple pop-up windows are a bit of a historical artifact, and will eventually be replaced with a more user-friendly 'analysis setup dialogs'. Sadly, this change is not trivial to implement, so it may take a while.

Cheers,
Sergei
