crash indNdSRateAnalysis.bf
Nov 10th, 2005 at 6:44am

Hello: I am getting a crass when execute the dNdSRateAnalysis.bf script. Say: P51.nex file, genetic code universal, use tree from the file: yes. Branch length: codon model; MG94 model (or MG94HKY95
or MG94REV) ; rate variation: dual; distrib: independent discrete. initial value by default. syn classes: 4 nonsyn classes: 4.
The dialog to save results is opened and after this I get the crash.

I get a similar crash when define a codon model with the same (or other ) file via open data-> select all-> selection:partition, codon model, a tree (the tree from the file) and parameters: rate het. and build and optimize likelihood fun. This crash happens with at least some of the MG94 models:  MG94, MG94xHKY95x3x2, MG94REV3x4dualRV. In general when I expect a nonsyn and syn scale option in the tree if use MG94 model I get a crash. Any hint?

I am using a Pentium4 with HYPHY-P3.exe ver.9920051024.

Thanks in advance,
Antonio

Dear Antonio,

There was a bug in late October builds which would cause analyses with multiple heterogneous rates to crash.

Try downloading today's build and see if the problem goes away.

Cheers,
Sergei
