genetic codon table
Jul 24th, 2006 at 3:46am

Hallo,

first of all, congratulations for this nice package.

I´m trying to run the program, however, I always stop at the codon-table: There is no table for standart genetic code  Sad.
( I´m working with nuclear insect coding sequences )
Could you help me somehow  ?

Thanks a lot for your help.
Martin

Dear Martin,

The first codon table (Universal Genetic Code) is the one you want.

Cheers,
Sergei

Dear Sergej,

thanks for the fast response, .. however, in the HYPHY-Win32. - version there are 12 genetic codes ( 8 of them are mtDNA, the rest are Yeast, Blepharisma, Euploid and Ciliate ) but nothing similiar to Universial ...

any idea ?
Thanks
Martin

Dear Martin,

This is very odd. The Universal table should be first on the list. Are you going through the graphical data panel interface or standard analyses?

Cheers,
Sergei

ohh... sorry.. I just had overseen the first line...

of course now I see it !

blindness in front of the computer ..

( I maybe was confused, because after extracting the zip-file and looking into folder I didn´t saw the universial-file... )

Again, sorry and thanks !!
cheers, Martin

Dear Martin,

I am glad it's there:) The Universal table is built-in (all others are in separate files, extensible by the user).

Cheers,
Sergei
