how to paritition my seqeunce file for GRAD
May 20th, 2008 at 6:03am

Hi
i need to analyze alignment of 30 sequences of 3kb long with SALC,FEL,REL. i want to start with GRAD first.  when i load the whole length of the file the analysis ends before i reaches asymptotic. even when i divide the length to 3 parts it does not get to there. so basically i have 3 options: 1. "this situation is the best i can get" 2. use less sequences 3. partition manually to shorter sequences.  which option is the best. i also thought about downloading the package and run it on my computer but it seems that this analysis needs a cluster of computers which i do not have.  can i run it on a single computer? i can use any platform WIN,LINUX,UNIX,MAC.
thank you

Dear Hanan,

E-mail me you job ID from GARD and I can set it up to run for more than one hour.

Cheers,
Sergei
