Tree file continuously rejected
Feb 9th, 2009 at 12:42pm

I am trying to do a molecular clock test in HyPhy and my tree file is always rejected - I get an error message that says: "Node names should begin with a letter, a number or an underscore."  This happens no matter of the tree is placed in my data file or maintained separately.  My NEXUS sequence alignment is read without any problems.  As the tree file was generated from the data file originally, I don't see why I am having this problem.

Thanks,
Alan

Hi Alan,

HyPhy is very picky when it comes to sequence names and tree leaf labels. There is a long thread that you may find useful Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login Login

Cheers,
Sergei
