SCUEAL woes
Oct 16th, 2009 at 2:01pm

Hi Sergei,

I have a couple of problems running SCUEAL locally.

1. When I try to use the MPI screen of a FASTA file, I get an error about 'This script requires MPI', even though I'm using HYPHYMPI.

2. When making a reference alignment, I get an error if I try to do branch swapping (about a node name already being used).

Thanks!
Simon

I've been having the same problems.  What's worse, I -did- have SCUEAL working before, but something's changed since then. Undecided

Hmm.

1. Are you specifying more than 1 CPU for the run?
2. That hasn't worked in a long time, I am afraid; I'll check when I have time Tongue . It's probably better to build a tree externally and feed it in with the alignment.

Hi Sergei,
I using an SVN build of HyPhy on the cluster to run SCUEAL on a reference alignment that I thought I had coerced the pre-processing script to generate.  SCUEAL spawned MPI processes fine but then they started dying.  I lost the error statement but first I'm going to try diagnosing the reference alignment BF myself, before I start whining again Smiley
