How to find a job from a different machine?
Jun 17th, 2011 at 10:15am

I've submitted various jobs, but can't figure out how to find them if I (1) close the browser window, or (2) log in from a different machine.

Is it possible to link in through a browser to running or complete jobs in either of these cases, so I could record results or run additional analyses?

Thanks,

-- Will

Hi Will,

Each job on Datamonkey has a unique ID; if you bookmark/note the URL for the "status" page (see the screenshot) for the job, you can then access it from anywhere (for up to 96 hrs).

... and if I DIDN'T note the upload ID, I'm out of luck?  Sigh.  I'll have to live with the shame of failing to record critical info and having to re-run the analysis.  Curse those browser crashes!

Thanks,

Hi Will,

The jobs are still on the server; I can probably find those URLs for you.

Tell me something about the file (e.g. taxon names) so that I can find it for you.

For the analyses that are still in the queue, click on "[Check] the cluster queue for related tasks" link at the bottom of the status page to see where they are.
