identical sequences

Hi
I'm a new user and so I'm afraid to make a wrong choice.

I have about 350 sequences from human populations, but removing identical sequences only 3 sequences remain....

I red in your tutorial that identical sequences do not contribute any information except base frequencies.
Can you confirm me that allele/haplotype frequencies are not important for all kinds of DATAMONkey analysis?

Do you think could be a good idea to add sequences from others Primates?

thanks very much

Rob

Hi Rob,

Most of Datamonkey analyses do not make use of allele frequency; the only two that do are DEPS and TOGGLE. It may be a good idea to add primate sequences, but this depends on what types of questions you are looking at.
