MPI environment in Windows
Jul 22nd, 2013 at 4:41pm

Hi,
I'm trying to do an analysis of recombination breakpoints. I installed HyPhy in Windows7 and also downloaded and installed the HPC Pack 2012 MS-MPI Redistributable Package. Something seems to be missing though, because I keep getting an error message:  [ERROR] This analysis requires an MPI environment

Any ideas how can I make it work?

Thanks a lot in advance.
cheers,
Dorota

Hi Dorota,

The prebuilt HyPhy.exe for Windows does not include MPI support; it is meant for Linux installations.
You may be able to get MPI to work in Windows if you compile a command line version using something like MinGW or Cygwin.

Best,
Sergei
