Dear Sergej,

before dN/dS analysis of my alignemt of 7 HIV nef sequences I would like to test for recombination with GARD. However when I click on the link GARD on the datamonkey site I get the error message: "Internet explorer is still unable to render industry standards..." and the site does not display properly.
Do you have any suggestions how to overcome this?

Dear Dieter,

For some reason (known only to Microsoft, I suppose), IE does not render simple CSS (formatting sheets for web pages) properly. I tested the site using Firefox/Safari and didn't realize until almost the very end that it did not render properly in IE (hence the warning), so I decided against a redesign to deal with IE.

I suggest you use guard with Firefox/Opera or any other modern browser except IE - everything should render fine then.
