HYPHY_GTK illegal instruction crash
Oct 28th, 2007 at 12:17pm

Hi, I just downloaded and compiled HYPHY_GTK and everything seemed to go pretty well (although libcurl, which is installed, was not detected). Unfortunately, running HYPHY_GTK returned:
Illegal instruction (core dumped)

There were no other error messages, and both error.log and messages.log are empty. Not sure if I can diagnose this one. All the dependencies seem to be met, and the same error occurs on both 0.99 and 1.00 versions.
Any thoughts? I would love to give HYPHY a try.

Dear bofallon,

Would it be possible to run this through gdb (or run gdb on the core and backtrace) just to see which part of the code is generating the illegal instruction trap? This may give me an idea of what may be going wrong.

Cheers,
Sergei
