Running GARD on a Mac

Has anyone worked out a way to run GARD on a Mac under openmpi? If so, does it have to be command line or is there a way to run GARD from the console?

Hi,

OpenMPI is generally intended for clustered environments. Is there a reason why you wouldn't want to give GARD analysis on datamonkey.org a try?

Do you have openmpi libraries installed on OSX?

GARD would require HyPhy to be be run via the command line, using the binary HYPHYMPI after compilation.

Hi Steven:

I am looking into running a GARD analysis for a whole chromosome so I anticipate that, if this works, the analysis will run longer than Datamonkey allows. I've been (unsuccessfully, see the thread in HyPhy Bugs for that) trying to get this to run on our HPC but would not mind having my desktop dedicated to this if that would work. In anticipation of that I did install the OSX version of openmpi on my workstation. Too bad there's no way to inform the program that I have 16 processors that it can use.
