Error in MPI version of Linux HYPHY
Jan 31st, 2008 at 4:57am

Dear all,

I have a problem with MPI version of HYPHY in Linux HPC. HYPHYMPI was succeessfully
installed in HPC, and the test successfully with MPITest.bf.

Then, I wrote a wrapper bf (runNormalFEL.bf) for FEL analysis, and run with four nodes (mpirun -np 4 /share/HYPHY/HYPHYMPI runNormalFEL.bf), it failed with the following (ps: the first 3 phases have no problem, but it hang at Phase 4):
=================================================================
Phase 4: Ancestral State Reconstruction and Counting
Significance level for Likelihood Ratio Tests (between 0 and 1)?
Site     1 dN/dS =      0.00000 Full Log(L) =     -3.87314 LRT =      1.08983 p-value =   0.14825
p0_14219:  p4_error: interrupt SIGSEGV: 11
rm_l_2_22686: (42.887906) net_send: could not write to fd=5, errno = 32
rm_l_1_29709: (43.009789) net_send: could not write to fd=5, errno = 32
rm_l_3_29718: (42.853509) net_send: could not write to fd=5, errno = 32
p0_14219: (43.293819) net_send: could not write to fd=4, errno = 32
p1_29702: (49.039178) net_send: could not write to fd=5, errno = 32
=================================================================

However, when I used one node (mpirun /share/HYPHY/HYPHYMPI runNormalFEL.bf), it was okay. Huh

Any idea to solve this problem?

Thank you.

Best wishes,
Tommy

Dear Tommy,

Have not come across this issue before; could you please e-mail me the files (wrapper file and the data) so that I can try to replicate the error locally?

Cheers,
Sergei
