Nexus file with alignment and tree data
May 21st, 2008 at 2:41pm

Hi everybody,
I've successfully uploaded and run FEL and REL using my alignment and the Datamonkey-generated NJ tree.
I'd like to use now run these same analyses using a tree I generated using MrBayes.  I realize that to do this I need a nexus file with the alignment and tree data (like the HIV pol-1 example) but I cannot figure out how to generate such a file.  Any suggestions of resources where this is explained?  Is there a particular program I should be using?
Thanks,
- Jason

Dear Jason,

HyPhy should be able to read NEXUS output by MrBayes directly and then output it in a variety of formats. Take a look at section 2.3.2 of Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login Login for general comments on reading data and trees in HyPhy.

Cheers,
Sergei
