Problem running GA branch
Jul 29th, 2010 at 5:08am

Hi All,
I am trying to run GA branch in HyPhy. These are the steps I follow:
1- I open de batch file (ModelSelectorBranchLocal.bf)
2- Choose the Genetic code (Universal).
3- Select the codon file to analyse: Lysozyme.nex (from the example provided).
4-Accept to use the tree in the file.
5-Provide a model (in this case 010010)
And after the preliminary steps 1, 2, and 3, I get the following error message:
Error:Invalid Matrix Index [0][0] in a -2 by 2 matrix.
Current BL Command:sortedScores[0][0]=-crapAIC
Could you please help me with this problem?
Thanks,
prm42

Hi prm42,

That's an error that occurs when this code is run NOT in an MPI environment.
The analysis ASSUMES that it is started as an MPI process with more than 1 processor.
I apologize for its being uninformative.

Thanks Sergei, another question: can I ran GA-branch from the GUI or do I have to run it from the command line?
Bye,

Hi prm42,

Only the command line at the moment, as the GUI version does not properly support MPI.
